Worklit was founded on the belief that every individual has potential, and with the right guidance and support, they can shine and secure a job that truly matches their capabilities. Worklit helps students, recent graduates, and job seekers build holistic job readiness, from technical skills and mental readiness to personal branding strategies. We are here as a platform that bridges both sides: helping recruiters find quality candidates, while also supporting job seekers to better prepare themselves through direct mentoring with experts in their fields. We hope worklit can also be a platform that helps young talents improve their quality, grow their self-confidence, and be able to compete in an increasingly competitive world of work.

About Our Founder and Co-Founder

As a senior talent acquisition, our founder, Natya Smita Gusti have had the privilege of meeting and interviewing countless job seekers from diverse backgrounds. Over time, she began to notice the imbalance between recruiters’ expectations and job seekers’ preparedness became the very reason Worklit was born. Worklit was created as a bridge: a platform that connects both sides of the hiring process. We aim to help recruiters discover outstanding candidates, while also empowering job seekers to better prepare themselves through hands-on mentorship with professionals in their fields.

Her vision for Worklit is simple yet profound: to build a space where young talents can discover their strengths, grow in confidence, and develop the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive world of work.

As for our co-founder, Karya Wahyuda, coming from a small town in Eastern Indonesia, a place where access to information, opportunities, and professional networks was often limited, had the chance to grow and be part of something greater. He saw how many young people across Indonesia were not lacking in talent or ambition; they were simply lacking access to opportunities that could help them shine.

That realization became his calling and inspired him to build Worklit, not just as a platform, but as a bridge for young people across the nation. Worklit was born from that belief, that every individual, no matter where they come from, deserves the chance to grow, to develop their skills, and to pursue the career they dream of. Because potential knows no boundaries, only access does.

Our Journey

Based on the phenomenon of unemployment rate in Indonesia continues to show an upward trend, particularly among higher education graduates. This surge is driven by two main factors: the significant annual growth in the number of new graduates and the efficiency trend in the industrial sector, which reduces the need for conventional labor.

Despite the high unemployment rate, various sources indicate that job opportunities continue to be available and are even increasing. This is reflected in the proliferation of job fairs, the increasing demand for digital workers, and the large number of vacancies posted through online recruitment platforms. However, job seekers are not always able to capitalize on these opportunities due to a mismatch between their competencies and the qualifications required by industry.

However, there is a serious imbalance between job availability and human resource readiness. The gap between the education system and industry needs is the primary cause of this mismatch. Many graduates lack the technical skills and career understanding required by the current job market. A lack of career literacy, weak communication skills, and limited access to applicable training widen this gap.

Conversely, companies often face challenges in selecting qualified candidates. The high number of job applicants does not align with the competencies and readiness required by the workforce. This indicates that the main challenge lies not only in job availability but also in the quality and competitiveness of human resources.

Worklit was founded as a strategic bridge to address this gap by providing non-formal, practice-based training tailored to industry needs. All Worklit programs directly support the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), making Worklit not only a training platform but also an agent of social transformation that strengthens the national employment ecosystem.
